and stones resting in closed foil-backed settings to accentuate their colour and brilliance

It dates from the latter half of the 19th century, circa 1870, originally intended as a mourning piece. Its perfectly formed and gorgeous, simplistic use of black and gold. Currently home to a colourised photograph of a young freckled boy, but ready to add your own photo.
