This is a fun fingering sock base, a 2 ply spin with portions in black wool, for a barber pole or marled effect along the yardage. These were kettle dyed a medium purple (more violet hued than normal due to the grey undertone in the base) then speckled with copper brown, gold, rust, dark green, scarlet, red and a little lime. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so
