2018 Roagna Pira Barolo DOCG 750ml Derwent Valley with cold nights and mildOrigin and Winemaking The 2018 Roagna Pira Barolo DOCG is a traditional expression of Nebbiolo from the historic Pira vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, Piedmont. Crafted by Luca Roagna using old school methods, it reflects the unique terroir of the region. Vines are 25 to 50 years old, and fermentation uses indigenous yeast with a submerged cap maceration of 6075 days. The wine is aged in large neutral oak barrels for about five years. Tasting Notes
